Asitava Sen represented India in the plenary session on “Global Growth” at the CO2RE-hosted UK GGR event in London, commemorating the closure of the 4-year, UKRI-funded GGR-D Demonstrators Programme. The session covered the latest developments in countries including Germany, the United States, India and Australia; and how the United Kingdom can add most value in global GGR efforts.

The session also emphasised the role of collaboration across government, industry and research institutions to ensure that GGR solutions grow in a responsible and equitable way. Taken together, the plenary positioned the UK as aiming to shape international norms, support innovation, and play a constructive role in accelerating global deployment of GGR technologies.
