Co-Founder & CEO
Asitava Sen
As CEO of CRIA, Asitava leads and represents the growing durable carbon removal (CDR) industry in India and internationally. He brings extensive expertise in climate and carbon removal related public policy and regulatory reform, particularly issues intersecting with agriculture and food systems in India. As the former CEO of one of the largest global agricultural input industry associations, he has led major initiatives in policy reform. His prior roles at Rabobank, the World Economic Forum, the World Bank, and UN-FAO further showcase his deep understanding of the intersection between policy, finance, and sustainable development. He is a Stripe Climate Fellow (the only one from Asia), and serves on the boards of a few AgTech companies as Independent Director; and holds an MBA from XLRI, Jamshedpur (India) and is a Mechanical Engineer.

Anjani Anand
Anjani leads CRIA’s partnerships and outreach efforts, helping strengthen collaboration across ecosystem actors to accelerate durable carbon removal in India. She brings several years of experience driving sustainability and circular economy initiatives across the global CPG and packaging sectors, with a focus on product strategy, market insights, and high-integrity climate action. She has worked across stakeholder engagement, community-building, and client success in both corporate and startup environments, and has supported the development of sustainability certification programs and early plastic credit models adopted by global brands. She holds a B.A. in Liberal Arts from Symbiosis International University and has completed climate fellowships with Terra.do and OnePointFive, grounding her work in climate science, systems thinking, and impact-driven strategy.

Deputy Manager - Policy & Research
Srishti Singh
Srishti is a dedicated advocate for sustainable development and climate change mitigation efforts, leading CRIA’s research, policy, and ecosystem-building efforts, with a focus on unlocking India’s potential in durable carbon dioxide removal. She has extensive experience in sustainability research, climate resilience and adaptation measures, policy management, and economic analysis. She brings a sharp strategic lens to building high-integrity CDR pathways that deliver co-benefits for farmers, communities, and climate. Srishti holds a B.Sc. Economics degree from NMIMS, Mumbai and an M.Sc. Economics from the University of Southampton, UK.
